Advancing children rights

APDK is committed to ensuring that children with disabilities in Kenya can freely express their views on all matters affecting their lives. Through disability awareness campaigns and advocacy for inclusive education for children with disabilities, APDK actively creates awareness of the rights of children, particularly the most vulnerable. The organization works to protect, respect, and promote the participation of children with disabilities while championing disability-friendly policies in Kenya to ensure equal opportunities for all.

To further these efforts, APDK launched the National Child Network for Kenya, a platform dedicated to providing a strong voice for children with disabilities. This initiative strengthens child protection structures, promotes the sensitization of disability issues, and monitors the implementation of the National Care Reform Strategy for Children in Kenya to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for every child.
