Enhancing Secure Access to Digital Government Services for Persons with Disabilities in Kenya Project
This was digital skills training project financed by Foreign Commonwealth & Development office (FCDO) through the UK Government’s Digital Access Program (DAP) and was conducted by Information and communication Technology Authority (ICTA) with the technical assistance from the Association for Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) in partnership with Inspire Africa Initiatives International. The project focused both on the demand and the supply sides of digital government services.
Activity
On the demand side, the focus was on capacity building for the persons with disabilities to enable them to securely access digital government services through
digital literacy training, awareness
creation of existing digital government services,
digital platforms for accessing the government services, existing legal and policy framework on digital accessibility for Persons with disabilities,
handholding, and mentorship on the use of digital and accessing digital services.
E-learning Platform
