APDK recognizes the importance of sports and recreation for persons with disability as it enhances their health and well-being, encouraging social inclusion, and combating prejudice and stereotypes. APDK in partnership with Standard Chartered Bank ensures inclusion of persons in Nairobi Marthon. The Standard Chartered Nairobi (SCB) Marathon race is a unique annual sporting event conducted on the last Sunday of October every year. The SCB Nairobi Marathon is a charity fundraising event whose proceeds go towards supporting Livelihoods among other projects across Kenya sponsored by Standard Chartered bank.  Persons with disability compete in the wheelchair category race.in the marathon
