At APDK, our mission to empower persons with disabilities in Kenya is built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and accountability to our stakeholders. We are committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.

To safeguard this trust, we provide a secure and confidential channel for all stakeholders – including staff, volunteers, board members, beneficiaries, donors, partners, and the public to report genuine concerns or suspicions of misconduct, malpractice, or unethical behavior within our organization.

We believe that speaking up is an act of courage and responsibility, and we are committed to making this process safe and accessible.

What to Report

We encourage you to report any actions or suspicions that you believe are:

  • Financial Malpractice: Fraud, corruption, bribery, misuse of organizational funds, assets, or donor resources.
  • Unethical Conduct: Discrimination, harassment, sexual exploitation, abuse, or abuse of power.
  • Dangerous or Illegal Activities: Actions that endanger staff or beneficiaries, violate Kenyan law, or pose a significant risk to security, health and safety.
  • Violation of Policies: Serious breaches of our internal codes of conduct, safeguarding policies, or procurement procedures.
  • Cover-ups: Deliberate attempts to conceal any of the above.

Your Protection as a Whistleblower

APDK enforces a strict and unwavering non-retaliation policy. No individual who, in good faith reports a concern or participates in an investigation will face dismissal, harassment, intimidation, or any form of unfair treatment.

We encourage honest reporting and expect all stakeholders to refrain from making knowingly false or malicious allegations.
